Spencer and his tiny frog
While down at Cottonwood the kids had fun finding frogs and swimming. We told the kids they were swimming in Willie Wonka's chocolate river. Macy had fun teasing Maika that there were frogs on her and hearing Maika scream in terror. If you look close at Spencer's right arm it looks a little fat, in fact it was quite fat, while riding on the back of Jesse on his 4-wheeler the kid got stung by a wasp, if you remember some of my previous posts of Spencer and wasp mishaps you can imagine how his arm looked, especially his elbow.
On the 23rd of July we headed out on our great summer vacation. First we headed to Monticello for the Bronson family reunion. I unfortunately didn't take any pictures, dumb, anyway we had a great time getting reacquainted with relatives that we haven't seen in quite awhile, we had a cookout, talent show, and all camped out. On the 24th we ran the "Curtis Holden memorial run for diabetes" It was a 5k run around Loyd's lake. We also rode in the parade where Macy fainted in the middle of the parade and almost fell of the motorcycle that she was riding on.
On Sunday everyone left for home except me and Aundrea and our kids. We headed down the Blanding and took the kids to Cotton Wood and swimming in the hotel pool. The next day we took off on our 2nd leg of the trip. We made it to Kanab to Aundrea's in laws where they very generously put us up for the night. On Tuesday morning we got up bright and early and headed to Anaheim, CA for Disney Land, the beach and my brother Jesse and Natalie's wedding.

On the first day in California we headed over to Newport beach. The kids had fun, but it was kind of chilly, and busy and not as much fun as I wanted to have. We all left very sandy which led to our cars getting very sandy, but at least we can say that we visited the beach, which was on Hannah's list of things to do this summer. Riley and Kelly were flying in this night to join us for Disney land and the wedding.

I didn't take as many pictures of Disney land as I should have. We got there pretty early in the morning to try and beat some of the crowd. We had a pretty good time. Our favorite rides were Indiana Jones, Buzz Light year, and Hannah's personal favorite, it's a small world? We spent a long day trying to get in as much as possible because we only had one day to pack it all in.
With the wedding all over we then headed out on our last leg of the trip. We caravanned from Redmond, CA to Phoenix, AZ. It wasn't too long of a trip, only six hours. We stayed at my mom and Gary's house for a week. We played in their pool pretty much all day every day. It was so hot down there. I also got to go out to dinner with Bev and gossip for awhile. We had a great time.
On this day we went to the movie "Ramona and Beezus" at the Santan mall. It was sooo hot outside. The other kids were in a pet store looking at the dogs. I had to get out of there to get away from my big kids begging me for another dog, so I took the little girls out to play in the sprinklers and park.
