A FEW THINGS

THE JAZZ

During basketball season our lives revolve around this team. We have season tickets again this year. This year we were smart and went thirds with some friends and uncle Michael. Last year there were several games that we couldn't make and had to give the tickets away, which was a waste for us, but good for the recipient. We also get to go to a few games on the bank. Last night we went to the Jazz and the Spurs. We had the awesome bank seats. It was so much fun. Our whole family really enjoys watching the games. Riley put a theatre in downstairs when we finished it just to enhance his jazz watching experience. It is also the reason we pay a ton of money for our dish, so that we can watch every single Jazz game. Thank goodness for dish on demand and HD.

Just a couple of pictures of last night's game.

THE CARDBOARD HOUSE
On Saturday we bought a snow blower. It came in a big box. The kids had a great idea to make a house out of it. They literally spent hours on this house with no help from mom or dad. Macy was quite the nag on Spencer. On Monday morning before she went to school she gave him a list of tasks to accomplish while she was gone. When she got home he hadn't work on it at all. She asked him why he just said, "I was too tired Macy" WOW I see a great marriage in the making for both of my kids; a nag and a couch potato. When we came home from the game last night this is how we found our kids.
Macy and Spencer sleeping in the box. Looks really comfy.

NEW SHOES
Hannah finally grew out of her size 2 shoes. She is our little peanut. A couple of days ago I went to target and bought 3 new pairs of shoes for her. She is so excited about them. Mind you she is almost 18 months old and she loves shoes already. She wakes up in the morning and wants her new shoes on, wakes up from nap times wants her new shoes on. It's pretty cute.

PRESIDENT HINCKLEY
On Sunday when we heard thatPresident Hinckley died we had two different reactions. Riley who is a convert to the church of 10 years was so sad. He is the only prophet that he knew. My reaction was a little different I just kept thinking he's not sad. There was probably a big welcome home party going on in Heaven. I will definately miss his humor and his positive out look on life, his great example of love and tolerance, but also standing up for the things that are right. I will miss him, but I can't be sad when you know that he is so happy.

I wish we could get more of the Jazz games up here...oh well:(

That's too cute about the kids. I was thinking the same thing you were, practice for marriage;) I can't believe that Hannah is already that excited about shoes!? You better start saving your money.

I was sad about Pres. Hinckley too, but was so happy for him! I'll bet he's enjoying the rest;)

Melanie...I loved your blog. I remember when you and Aundrea used to make "forts" out of chairs and blankets, and sleep under them. It's fun to see things go full circle. I remember one time you and Jesse where playing house, and Jesse supposedly went to work and came home soon after. You asked him, "Why are you home from work so soon?" and he replied, "I got fired"...if you don't think that made me a little nervous?! I feel the same about President Hinkley. I will sorely miss him, but at the same time, so happy for him. Love ya!

xes are always make great forts! Im just a little jealous that the box was for a snow blower. I know I need to get over it.

The best part about the last few days has been being able to read all the thoughts on our beloved President Hinckley.

Hannah and Lex would get a long great because they both love shoes. I think that SHOE was Lex's first word. He has them on all the time and doesn't understand why he can't have two pair on at the same time.

That's so cool you have season tickets to the Jazz games. You should go to www.quizilla.com/users/twilightnexus/quizzes and take the test. Have your husband take the test too. I guess I'm most like Rosalie and after begging Ian to take the test too he ended up being most like Emmett. At least we're a couple. You'll have to let me know which character you are most like. Check out Brittany's blog, she posted the link. Oh yeah, Ian only had the beard for a couple of months. I told him what you said and he just laughed.

Melanie, I stumbled upon your blog through my sister marci's. I was so excited to see that your mom posted a comment. How the heck is she? I really miss that woman! I used to work with her a little before she left Blanding. She's definately a good woman. tell her hi for me, or even better, have her email me... linnae@2getconnected.com I would love to hear from her. Thanks, Linnae Lyman
